…not a DAY after we sold the motorhome, we found The Airstream. I’d been obsessively checking RVTrader as well as Colonial Airstream’s website. And there, in all her 2 year old glory was the perfect Airstream. It wasn’t new-new, so someone else took the big depreciation hit (not that these things depreciate like SOBs—Some Other Brands). But it was enough. And it was the new bunkhouse layout that worked so well. It was GOING TO BE OURS. I called and put the deposit down and then we went to look. We took my dad with us, who has owned 3 Airstreams and still has his 2008 25′ Classic. As suspected it was love and first sight. These things are SLICK. We left the awesome folks at Colonial with a little punch list of minor things to address and scheduled a pick-up date for a few torturous weeks out.
