In spring of 2016 we purchased a 2014 Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB from Colonial Airstream in NJ. This is our 4th camper/RV. We started with a little Jayco 23B hybrid camper we found on Craigslist in Binghamton NY when the boys were 2 and not quite 1.
We loved it. We knew we’d be RVing for a long time so we upsized to a Rockwood 29SS we bought from RV Wholesalers in Ohio that we LOVED. While we owned that, the idea of full-timing was born.
We knew that an ultra-lite camper wouldn’t hold up to the abuse of full-time living/travel and we thought we needed the BIGGEST camper. Bigger is better, right? So we flew to FL and bought a 2009 Forest River Georgetown 379 (with it’s own ROOM with a real DOOR for the bunk beds) that we found on RV Trader. It. Was. Huge.
After a couple outings in it we knew we’d made a mistake…it was too big for us. So we readied it for sale and started looking for an Airstream. We’re SO happy we found The One.
